The SCUPC to LCUPC Duplex OM3 Fiber Optic Cable is designed to transmit high-speed data over short to medium distances using OM3 multimode fiber. It features two connector types: SC (Subscriber Connector) with Ultra Physical Contact (UPC) polishing on one end, and LC (Lucent Connector) UPC on the other. These connectors are widely recognized for their low insertion loss, ease of use, and industry compatibility.
The cable uses Duplex configuration, meaning it contains two fibers for bidirectional data transmission — one for sending and one for receiving. This setup is essential for applications requiring simultaneous two-way communication, such as switch-to-switch or router-to-server connections.
The OM3 fiber type (also known as laser-optimized 50/125µm multimode fiber) is designed to support high-speed protocols including 1/10/40/100 Gigabit Ethernet. It allows for transmission speeds up to 10 Gbps over 300 meters, making it ideal for structured cabling in modern network infrastructures.

The 35S cladding alignment fusion splicer is changing the way people splice fiber in small to mid-fiber count applications. This Fujikura splicer debuts a landmark improvement to the fusion splicing process with the ability to prepare and load both fibers simultaneously. The hand-held fiber coating stripper, the SS-05, is capable of stripping two 250 µm coated fibers in the same pass, along with the CT-16 cleaver adapter plate which can likewise accommodate two bare fibers for cleaving. After preparation, the 35S patented sheath clamps enable loading both fibers simultaneously into the splicer with one fiber in each hand. The user can press down on the sheath clamp base to close it while positioning the fiber in the v-grooves. This enables a one handed operation.

The 35S tube heater shrinks sleeves much faster than its predecessor with a nominal ~20 second heat time for 60 mm sleeves down from ~26 seconds. The simultaneous fiber preparation capability, automated sheath clamp opening, and a faster tube heater, combine to lower the overall fusion splicing cycle time by ~30% or more.
