V320S Optical Fiber Cleaver Heavy Duty

The 320S high precision cleaver is designed for field use alongside the Sumitomo splicing units. By using a rotating blade for multiple scoring positions enables a blade life of 48,000 cleaves with a cleave angle better than 0.5 degrees. The unit is constructed to be robust and field serviceable and has options such as tripod mount to enable secure platform mounting. The 320S high precision cleaver is the latest cleaver . Integral to the unit is a cleave length scale which helps facilitate exact lengths during cleaving.

Operations

• Put Container from the storage position to the work position, pull the slider out of cleaver; open the large and small plate as shownbelow;
• Set the cladding side of a striped and cleaned fiber into the corresponding fiber holder and put into the fixture slot, Note the striped side of fiber should be fixed in the V-Groove, Closet the small plate orderly. Push Slider to the otherside to cut the fiber off;
• Open the large plate and small plate orderly; and take fiber out. Do not touch anywhere.

Daily Using and Maintenance

• Must ensure that the rubber presser foot and the fiber guide groove are clean (no dust and fiber debris). Keep the fiber contact surfaces clean by using alcohol contton or cloth during the process of cleaving.
• Change the angle of blade if cleaving quality descends (usually cleave 1000 to 1500 times), the blade may be worn.

Adjust the Height of blade

• Please unscrew two scews as picture.
• Use hexagonal spanner to loosen.
• Adjust bolt as picture to adjust height of blade.

Replace the blade

• When the blade circulation is used and you cannot improved the cleaving quality by changing the angle of blade and adjusting the height of stud, the blade needs to be replaced.
