Product Description

Thislaunch cable is specially designed for OTDR fiber tester and adopts SC/UPC interface. Application

Product Structure

  • When the SC/UPC connector is connected to the OTDR fiber tester or other fiber equipment, the high-precision alignment of the ceramic ferrule and the action of the spring can achieve low-loss and low-reflection transmission of the optical signal, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of the test.
  • The color of the outer sheath is generally eye-catching colors such as yellow or orange, which is convenient for identification and operation at the test site. The outer sheath will also be printed with product model, specification, length, manufacturer and other identification information, so that users can quickly understand the basic situation of the product.
  • The reinforcement components are usually arranged in a spiral or parallel shape around the optical fiber core, and are closely combined with the optical fiber core to form the internal support structure of the extension cable.

 

Note: The blind area of OTDR is mainly caused by strong light reflection and pulse width ,and generally extends hundreds of meters from the OTDR as the starting point. The OTDR test extension line is generally used between the OTDR and the line under test to ensure that the blind area of OTDR is only reflected on the extension line and does not cause a significant impact on the link under test.
